Ward Congress: Hoodlums set Ningi Local Government Council secretariat on fire

Bauchi—Hoodlums believed to be political thugs loyal to a faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have burnt down the secretariat of Ningi local government council of Bauchi State.
It was gathered the political thugs stormed the secretariat at about 6pm on Saturday and set it on fire following the ward congresses of the party held in the area.
According to sources, results of the congresses in some wards of the local government area did not go down well with a faction of APC in the area prompting the supporters to go on rampage.
Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the incident, describing it as arson.
The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kamal Datti said: “The incident occurred on Saturday during the conduct of APC Ward congress across the state.”
