DG, NCAC Olusegun Runsewe Jailed For Contempt Of Court

The Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture, Olusegun Runsewe, has been jailed by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Abuja, on Thursday for contempt of court.
Justice Jude Okeke in a ruling ordered the Inspector-General of Police to arrest him and hand him over to the Nigerian Correctional Service in Kuje, Abuja.
He was told by the judge, to remain in prison “until he purges himself of  contempt”.
According to a reliable source, Runsewe was committed to prison on Thursday following his disobedience of an order made by the court on December 15, 2017.
The order was in respect of a suit filed by Ummakalif Ltd for the sealing of the Arts and Crafts village in Abuja.
